    Video card?

I've had some troubles with my video card, presumably, lately.

This started over a year ago, and it used to be that pulling out my video card and plugging it back in would fix it temporarily, but it's recently come back. It never really affected performance except for when I played Guild Wars. It couldn't even run and I got a memory error once.

I can go about my computer without seeing it, but the instant I go into my programs menu or open an IM window from ElSoyokaze this pops up. If I get rid of the menu or window, I can select all, refresh the desktop, or whatever and get rid of it, but it's still really annoying.

Any suggestions or ideas on what the problem really is?

Problem for a year? You're that cheap to not buy a new one?

Replacing my sexy video card would run well over $200. As of right now, I'm jobless. I can put up with such inconveniences to use my money for other things.

And Tps, that didn't work. My computer genius friend said he was really sure it was a hardware problem, but I did that anyway.

Is it compatible with your board? PCI, APG etc?

Maybe it's defected. How long is the warranty.

Seems likely that you tried to overclock your card, and failed miserably.

I'm not prepared to give you a diagnosis with a single screenshot. Message me on MSN, I can be of more help there.

              RE: Video card?

Video card's fully compatible; it worked for a few years before deciding to act up like this. This computer was built about four or five years ago by a friend of ours, so I doubt there is a warranty, for one, and that it would still be in effect, secondly.

And I never tried to do anything to it. I don't even know how to overclock it even if I wanted.

And I'll be damned before I use MSN, so I'll IM you when you get on AIM.
