Yankees vs Red Sox

This weekend, they're going to be duking it out at fenway, and its for all the pebbles... all the AL East pebbles.

Yesterday, the yankees routed the orioles and the red sox pulled an amazing win against the blue jays.

The red sox are one game behind in the AL east (and also tied for the wild card lead with the Indians).

They are playing three games over the weekend.
The Red Sox need to win 2/3 to tie the yankees, and the yankees need to win 2/3 or more to clinch.

In the event of a tie, there will be a one game playoff round. If they are also tied with the indians, there will be a second one game playoff round, loser vs Indians

Its time to argue senselessly about this age old rivalry sprouting up again

All I know is the Orioles lost series to the Yanks, the Sox, and the Yanks (again). They are 1-9 over their last ten.

I'm sure fans from both sides were rooting for the O's, with no avail.

I'm pretty sure if there is a 3-way tie, then there is a 3-game playoff... all 3 teams play a round robin. But, not 100% sure... thats just what my father said after the Phillies sent him his tickets for those extra playoff games, both of which (they were sent when Florida was still in the running) were to be played in Philly, as per the coin flip.

You're also missing Yankees win 3-0 in your poll... but, that is the same as 2-1. *shrugs*

I dont know, but I hope that the Yankees win. The Angels are one of the teams that do incredibly well against the Yankees. The Red Socks are good against the Angels though.

If its a three way tie, the Division tie people play each other and the loser plays the wild card team

so it would be monday: Sox yankees
tuesday: Loser vs Cleveland

Right now the red sox are up 5-3 in the 8th inning somewhere

and I was going to add that last part of the poll, but it didn't register (I didn't hit update) and esupin updated and I couldn't update the poll. Whatever, this is good enough

white sox win, indians lose

I was up until like 11:30 watching that white-sox indians game; It was awesome.
White sox won in the 13th. It was 1-1 and white sox got 2 in the top 13th, Indians got a homer in the bottom 13th, but then lost.

So Red Sox and yankees are tied
Indians are 1 game back

In NL news, the phillies pulled within a game of the Astros

I hope Boston makes it just so we can kill them in the ALCS.
