It can range anywhere from 1 digit, to 9 digits.

9 digits? so, there are 1,000,000,000 or 1 billian possible combinations.


It would take 500,000 people 2,000 clicks EACH to do 1 billian clicks. Alot of lotteries have less combinations. Pick 5s and such are 1-39. 39*38*37*36*35 = 69,090,840. Well less than 1 billion.

Odds are highly unlikely someone will get this in 1 week.

The problem with this is... 1. We shouldn't have THAT much trouble getting 100k clicks. Remember, the difference between 100k and 1 billion is 10,000.

Also, at 100k you would drop it to 100 mil, at 200k to 10 mil, at 300k to 1 mil... and at that point, it wouldn't be that difficult.

Figure there are 2000-5000 people doing this, and each does 100 clicks a day. that right there is 200k to 500k in 1 day.

But, even say that you do 1 million clicks a day, to get 1 billion, it is 1000 days. Now, clearly, statistics says you'll hit the magic number before the 1000 days, but it could be 1 day, or it could potentially be 2500 days. Or, anywhere from 1 day to 6-7 years.

This is something you should have thought about BEFORE starting it. Or, changing it now and keeping it stagnant. I'd recommend 10 million (numbers 1-9,999,999) as an appropriate level that would keep the contest going for 1-20 days or so.

I'd also think about tying the clicking into a google ad or some ad format... no reason NOT to make money for the site off of this. Clearly you'll be getting millions of clicks.

I clicked a bunch of times and then remembered that staff aren't elegible so I stopped.

Too bad, I really wanted ITG too and I'm certainly not going to win TournaMix.

I don't see the point in displaying the numbers we get anyway, it's not like we're going to have to keep track of them.

Pretty much. LD came to me for ideas but I couldn't think of anything. This was the result.
