Try and optimize every step, check for unnecessary ones.

44 has way too many dead-end paths, though I think I got it now.

EDIT-Got it, on 46 now, I keep getting 6 away, I don't know where to optimize.

EDIT-Taking a break always helps, 48....

48 was by far my favorite level, put everything together, 49, I keep getting one short.

48 and 49 are by far my favorite levels, I don't like 50.

Did anyone notice level 24's name was Octopussy? I just beat it, it only took a minute after I realized a possibility I had ruled out was actually possible to do. I'm on 26 now.

edit: 27 was very clever. I was like, "whoa, cool, tetris. Let's just rotate this one here."

edit2: Stopping on 30, I'm two short. Tried it for about 20 minutes, it really is tough. I know the step I need to cut off is before the top, because I'm going across the top part the shortest way possible regardless of the blocks.

On 30: Make sure you asess each obstacle you come to very carefully. There is an easily overlooked way to make it past one of the obstacles in less moves than you would normally make.

Btw I finally beat 38, took me freakin forever.
