I did it once just to prove I could solve it. I did it in about a 30-45 minute session while I was waiting for my mom at the hair dressers, with no help whatsoever obviously. It was pretty hard to solve, I must say. Actually planning it out and whatnot, and trying to solve it as fast as possible has never really interested me.

I have a 3x3x3 and i can't solve one side, but i try every now and then.
I hate it. I used to have a Rubik's Sphere. I would just pull of peices to
solve it. Then I would cry myself to sleep for cheating.

Well, I can't believe I missed this topic for so long. I was the first to make one of these Cube topics, a year and a half ago.

My Rubiks cube record is 50 seconds for a 3x3x3. I have a 55 second solve in my signature; it has been there for over a year.

My 5x5x5 is down to 15 minutes.

I have not touched my 3x3x3 in over a year, because it is to worn for speed cubing. I need to get a new one, break it apart, sand the edges, dump the plastic shavings and a whole lot of Curel Hand Lotion into the mechanism, and then go to work on it.
To ready a cube for time trial work takes a fair amount of time.

I can't solve a Rubik's Cube...never been able too, sadly....it still taunts me (it's a 3 x 3?). *shakes fist & hisses* CURSE YOU RUBIK'S CUBE! CCCCCCUUUURRRRSSSSSEEEEEE YYYYYYYYYOOOOOOOOUUUUUUU!!!!!!!

Sera, you have to set your windows media player to play all video extensions. Quicktime and others have trouble with the vid.

Right click and 'save as...', and play it off your computer if you have problems.

I've never finished a rubix cube. I can't even get one side. I prefer the 3-d pictures that you have to stare at.

I only did the rubix cude once...and it took me about 30 mins to finish it. I was over a friends house and she was on the computer. Those things are hard to do though!

The 2x2x2 is fun. I have one of those too... I won ALOT of money by betting my friends that they couldn't solve it.

The strategy for solving the 2x2x2 is the same as doing the corners on the 4x4x4, which IMO is faster and easier than the strategy for solving the corners on the 3x3x3, which also works to solve the 2x2x2.
