    Make my wireless work better

Here's the deal, my wireless network, as some of you may know, is a piece of crap. Sometimes it'll work just GREAT for weeks at a time, then for a while it'll go on and off like crazy for no apparent reason. I'm not sure why it does it though, so could you computer helper people please give me reasons why it might suddenly cut out.

Then I will take the things you've told me and see if they apply or not. Also, if you guys have any suggestions for making it work better (other than moving the computer closer to the router/hub/whatever it's called) please tell me and I'll see if I can try them.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

    1. What type of card is it and what's the manufacturer?
    2. What's the wireless access point type and manufacturer?

Both D-Link, both 802.11b. We were too cheap for g, I guess.

....that's what I was afraid of

D-Link wireless cards are VERY unreliable, causing screwups gallore, I should know, I used to use one.

The Wireless Access Point can stay, the card need to get out of there faster then a virus on a computer.

Get a cheap netgear/linksys card, it'll work great and will kick the crap out of the D-Link.
        Hopefuly this helps.

        PS: Check Ebay, very cheap

            We bought a D-Link 802.11g for $5 on www.dealsea.com
Our wireless network is fine 99% of the time...

It might just be the time of the year when your internet provider is doing upgrades and stuff like that. It might just go away in a few days. My internet was being crappy last night, too.

No, it's done this for a LONG TIME now. It's not my ISP. The other computers are fine, it's just this one with this stupid D-link with b instead of g. >___<
