they should have federal people checking the rides, it makes it safer.
Now that something happened on the ride Disney is more likely to have it inspected more frequently themselves. They've got the incentive to. You don't need the government to interfere with this situation at all.
out of seriousness, dont they have an age limit for those kind of rides? I blame the mother for lack of responsibility. Think about it: you're going on a ride that has a large amount of G forces (maybe 5?) that simulates what REAL LIFE ADULT astronauts feel when leaving the earth in their own space shuttle. Would you seriously want to bring a 4 year old kid with you on a ride like that? Common sense people. And im sure before you enter the ride theres a warning about motion sickness or extreme G forces. Come on now.
I guess that proves that people can die by doing pretty much anything (under certain circumstances). There's even a warning label on the keyboard i'm typing on.
We don't need safer roller coasters. Honestly. Who brings a 4 year old to a roller coaster anyway? They have signs that say you must be a certain height and weight for a reason, jackasses. Stop being morons and take some godamn responsibility.

Lack of responsibility really is the root of a lot of the problems that face our country these days.
The 4 year old had premission to go on, because he was tall enough to go on.
I went on that ride... all the people around me got motion sickness.
It's a "mission to mars" launch. You first go up like a rocket, then it twists you, bends you, and spins you in a really strong force.
So of course this kind of thing would happen. People should be aware of it.
Older people went on, and ended up in the hospital with chest pains.
I think they should have an age limit.
These kind of things happen all the time. In splash mountain, there are no seat belts, and you have to go through 3 big waterfalls. There is a risk of flying out of you seat. I went on it, set in the first seat, and guess what? i survived.
Two people died on that ride, but you have to follow instructions, and not HOLD YOUR HANDS UP, while going down the waterfall.
You have to be responsible, so don't get upset about it. It was the mother's fault, she should have paid more attention, and look around.
Honestly, it is the parents fault. Who would send a 4 year old into space? Holy shit people. The fact that they let the kid on there saddened me. GG Falc, you showed us what America is made of.

Disney's "Mission: Space" simulates a rocket launch and trip to Mars
Some people aren't meant to go on a rocket launch and trip to Mars.
Taking a trip to space is not a thing that every one needs to be doing it, because bursting out of the Earth's Atmosphere is an intense process. Therefore, you must be pysically fit, which some people aren't.
