You have to know more than just how to work with computers to get a job with Google. I literally mean, you have to be damn near genius to get a job with Google. http://www.google.com/jobs/index.html I saw a special on 60 minutes about Google and the job application process, etc. You have to be the kind of person who finds Calculus, and Trigonometry fun as well as an excellent programmer.Originally posted by tnyhwk900Thanks. I pride myself with knowing more about computers than 99% of this site (Only Anti and perhaps the coders, maybe some random guys that never post know more than me). Besides, I wasn't named Mr. Professor by my grade for nothing.Originally posted by jewpinthethirdGood luck...you have to be damn near genius to work there.Originally posted by tnyhwk900I want to work for Google. =(
If this post came off as arrogant I didn't mean for it to =\
If Google and wikipedia teamed up...they honestly would rule over the internet. It would be such a grand day.Comment

I saw the special too, Jewp. You have to remember that I'm only fourteen, and I was relating with a lot of the things they said. I realize I probably won't work at Google (mostly because it probably won't exist in its current form a decade from now ;p), but I would like to pursue a similar career.

A decade from now Google will be located on the Moon and own the Sun. They will impliment the "Sun Tax" upon all human beings and apes and dolphins with jobs. The money collected from the Sun Tax will fund the humanitarian effort "Free Hamburger Thursdays" to help fight world hunger...but only on Thursdays.Originally posted by tnyhwk900I saw the special too, Jewp. Nobody really owns the moon, right? Google could send a ship up and claim it for their own, really. Who would stop them?So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment

Google owns everything, already. Even if they don't own it, they have such a heavy influence that they could get away with pretty much anything they wanted. They essentially own the internet, and to own the internet is to own society.
On another note, that's the creepiest thing they've done yet.Comment

Well, I think a bunch of people would make a big fuse over it...but eventually they'd get tired of bickering and give up.Originally posted by evilbutterflyNobody really owns the moon, right? Google could send a ship up and claim it for their own, really. Who would stop them?Comment

They probably wouldn't fuss. They'd probably roll their eyes and be like "puh-lease, as if they're gonna do anything with that giant rock." Then suddenly they turn it into the Death Star and hold us hostage. That crazy Google! So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
