Holy crap how lucky is this....I have to leave here until summers over to go to my moms....but my mom lives in fort worth lol! I suggest we go to tornado terrys...theres a lot of little kids there sometimes but last time I went they got new pads for their extreme machine and its $9 for unlimited games there until they close (and I think they might be open 24/7)....and you can bring your own drinks i think lol....but yeah I wouldnt be able to go until July for reasons unmentioned...

Yes, quite a few people that work at this location do it just to play/watch DDR. Along with the unlimited games, you get unlimited games of Golf too, so that's pretty cool. Oh, and Q means July 26th.
REASONS FOR LOCATION TRANSITION
1. Putt-Putt has all the games on Free Play mode on Tuesdays. Main Event still makes you put in a card, but if you lose that card, you're screwed 4lyf ololo. Seriously, I got my card stolen off the machine when I had it as a line place holder. It is NOT fun.
2. Arlington is quite more convenient than far southwest Fort Worth. Not to mention that if you were planning to get here on plane, DFW Airport is closer to Arlington than it is to the Main Event.
3. This Putt-Putt recently won a DDR Max 2 in an auction (hehe, hey Q, they got it from NE Mall, hehe), so now they have a DDR Max 2 AND a DDR Extreme right by each other =O. The Max 2 is in some serious need of repairs though, but it's better than some I've played on (i.e. If I can barely pass era on it, then it's not the worst one I've played on).
4. Putt-Putt is less crowded, especially on Tuesday nights. Of course, there's Rush Hour traffic, but if you leave where I live (which is pretty far from Arlington altogether) around 4:00 you can be there by 5:00, which is when the deal starts.
Could there be plans for like, a get-together dinner for the next day??
Oh, and I'm afraid Arch might have sekkks with a little kiddy if he comes =OComment

I asked about which ME it was because: a shitload of people (me, an ass, annon, philipio, sweet sakura, ...list goes on and on, might know them from other bemani forums) go there every monday, so the BM and DDR machines would be packed. The putt putt in arlington is pretty horrible, imo. The Max 2 machine makes up for it, but only barely. And the extreme machine is almost needs as much repairs as the max 2 machine. Left pad sticks, and the right pad is only barely decent enough for PA.Comment

We need a place with great machine condition. Also, a place with IIDX and ITG. This thing shouldn't just be at one arcade. I don't want to have to drive 600 miles for a one day thing. Have this thing be 2-3 days and hit 3 different arcades.Comment

Oh, but a good thing about arlington is that there is an Initial D machine now (moved it from Hurst).
Id say the best places to meet up are either ME in Ft Worth or Putt Putt Hurst. Gamepro: Only IIDX (that I know of) is in Irving, and A-town isnt really all that well taken care of anymore, so the IIDX machine has been down for quite awhile. Main Event has a 5-key BM, but no IIDX =(Comment

Imwithstupid, you go to Main Event every Monday? That's odd, are you in the group of kids from North Crowley High School?
Aside from that, yes, the Putt-Putt has Initial D. Main Event has one too, but guess what the difference between the two locations with Initial D are?
Main Event still makes you pay even on Mondays, while I could buy a card and beat the Myogi course just this Tuesday at Putt-Putt.Comment

Gamepro, I've never even seen a IIDX or and ITG machine and I've lived here for years. The only place that I could think of that has them is the Grapevine Mills Mall Arcade. It's a great arcade that's really big, so surely it has something that's kept well and likely more. Only problem with Grapevine Mills is that it's in Grapevine, which actually isn't that far away, now that I look it up. It's north of Arlington, about equidistant from Dallas and Fort Worth.
Okay, so I just called the arcade there and all they have rhythm-wise is DDR 8th mix and Guitar Freaks (and possibly another DDR machine that he said was "regular DDR").
That aside, though, that arcade is awesome for pretty much anything else. I personally don't care about rhythm games, but I know others do. I'm pretty certain, though, that you're not going to find any arcade in the area with a high concentration of rhythm games.

How about this: 7 Days-7 arcades.
Eh? Eh?
We'd get to go all around DFW in search of the best arcades. If it's one like Putt-Putt or ME that has a weekly unlimited games deal, then we can start going every week as a group. Whad'ya say? I need a couple of arcade buddies...Comment
