    Jobby Job

I recently got employed at an exotic car store. We don't sell JUST exotic cars, but lots of souvenir type stuff. The store is in Caesar's Palace, after all, and you can't hope to have a successful mall store that only sells things in the +$70k market. The store itself should be pretty cool. There's going to be an RC Car race track for kids to go play at, we sell clothing from all the lines of cars we carry, little die cast cars to big, expensive type 1/24th scale stuff, and all sorts of things that are collectables. For example, we have the last 5 engines from the Panoz cars that were in the Le Mans (spelling?) and they've all been converted into coffee tables. I believe for the red carpet thingy Caesar's is holding, there's going to be an auction for the very first Porsche Carerra ever brought state-side.

The Las Vegas RJ had an artical about it. Here it is if you're interested.

I work the night shift at McDonalds when I'm not at school.

Lots of interesting stories. You'd be surprised how much fun it is when it's 1 AM and everyone's in a casual mood.

As a rule, working fast food gets pretty interesting once you becoming comfortable with your coworkers.

What's especially fun is when you're on the side of your coworkers instead of the customer.

Coworker: "Hey Chardish, I'm going to shout back "Do we have any syrup?" Then you yell, "No." Make sure you're loud enough that the customer in drive-thru hears you."

Hmm...exotic cars, eh? Send me pictures of the following:
                  Supra
                  S15
                  Silvia
Sil-80 (not even sure if that's an actual car, but since it's in Initial D, and all the other cars are real, I'm assuming that it's real too.)
                  Lancer Evo Altezza
And whatever else sport-compact that you have.

I edited out my real name on the off-chance my bosses read this.

There are many people (particularly the folks I DDR with) who call me Chardish, though. It's pretty cool.

Perfect time for a thread like this.

Remember in October when I made a thread telling how the place I was working for went bankrupt and we all lost our jobs?

It's reopening tomorrow and I got rehired ! AND with two friends as well.

(one of them being slacky from the TWG forum.)

And, how old are you muskrat? 21?

Also, Casey.... that sounds amazing. I'll most likely be out in vegas this summer. If so, I'll PM you beforehand, etc.

                            I hate working in fastfood.

It's fun to make people feel bad though. Sometimes I'll wear my brother's nametag. Every now and then a customer will say something about it.

"Derek? Haha, that's a weird name for a girl."
"Yeah, I get picked on a lot for it."
"Well I think it's a nice name." OR "I'm so sorry!"

Once my supervisor and I got a little dramatic with it. When he was standing beside me and a customer said something about my name being Derek, I turned to my supervisor and said "YOU TOLD ME IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL NAME!" and ran off.

Those cars arent "exotic." They were designed for the middle class.

Also, Laharl, will you be working there this Friday or Saturday? I'll be in Las Vegas over the weekend, I might stop by.
