I got 2 emails this week from falconsfan and hydro that contained a virus.
They both denied sending me the emails, and hydro also said that LD sent him almost the same email, what kind of Moderator would send viruses around to FFR Members? Not LD, so I urge you to run your Virus Scans and SpyWare Scans and if you come up with "W32.Beagle.m@mm" or something along those lines, then delete it ASAP. The person who is sending this virus around is obviously getting the email addresses from FFR, so personally I think it might be one of ours .

You might be on their friends list, they got infected, and they auto sent you emails containing the virus.

If it is COMING from members of FFR, there is really only one way it could be happening.... someone is running a problem like Outlook and has many FFRites e-mails in their address book. The e-mails are being sent to the address book via the virus, and spreading from there.

But, I'll leave the sure-fire answers to the experts. Also, perhaps you could clarify your specific problem... the more specific, the better we can help you.

If I know Hydro, he would never send a virus to some random guy. And also falconsfan probably wouldn't know how to.

Its obviously as Tassel said someone with their email addresses and using them.

These viruses search the internet for email address to spoof. If you look at the full content headers, you will be able to tell it didn't really come from who it said it did.

As long as you have basic virus scanning software installed you're fine, Beagle is nothing new.

I highly doubt virus writers from chille are browsing this forum, looking for our email addresses.

Guys....... virueses have the ability to spider the web, looking for e-mails to spoof, it's all done automaticlly. One person from FFR got the virus, and they had a few FFRites in their address book, which are then sent to the virus, which it uses to spread.

Gezzz.... Topic locked, there is no reason for these acusations to continue.
