Some of us aren't paid enough to do what we do passionately. 50 cents more than minimum wage isn't enough to manage a theater of 46+ employees.

When I'm bored at work I either surf the net, chill in the VIP room or play video games. When I interned at the newspaper they basically didn't need me in the morning so I would work on concepts for Synthlight. The credit system was birthed by me being bored at work.

This is a humorous thread, get the hell off your high horse. NOBODY works every single minute they're paid to do so. I take it that you haven't even had a part time job yet, being that you're in what...8th grade, I think you said? Why don't you try working a little bit before you berate others on their performance? Kid, you worry me. You really shouldn't be online. I worry that the mental strain of it would be too taxing on you and you'd forget to breathe.

What the flying fuck kind of rationale is that? I'm not REQUIRED to do my job, the one I'm actually paid for, and I could quit at any time. You think I LIKE giving up my nights and weekends? I do it for money, not because it's fun.

What about the thousands of volunteer workers in this country? You know, the ones working for little or no pay to make people's lives better out of the sheer kindness and goodwill of their heart? Go up to them and tell them they're not really working. You, as you sit in your comfy suburban home, feel free to go tell the relief workers in Asia that what they're doing isn't really work since they didn't DEMAND payment from the grief and poverty stricken reigons they're helping.

I work in a place where there exists no technological devices whatsoever.

However, we do have a monstrous blade for cutting glass and the sort...

Not like I actually mess with it. You can't prove anything.

And of course I don't get to play with (smash to pieces) the glass that is trashed anyway.

Surely you don't think I don't cut scrap pieces of foam core into little books and science-fair boards either. That's just neglecting my duties as a framer.
