    Refresh Rates

Most people that I've encountered reciently are running on bad refresh rates. To make it simple, this very small tool that once runned will automatically populate the max refresh rate for each resolution for smoothest performance.

Simply put, it makes everything look smoother. I recommend to everyone to run it if you haven't already used this, a related program, or manually overridden your refresh rates.

    ftp://ftp.thecpl.com/reforce.zip

after downloading, just run the exe and click on 'auto populate.' Click apply, and the changes will take effect once you change resolutions (you can just run any game that runs on a different resolution from your desktop's and it will change.)

    After that, you're set.

      Are you joking?

I gave the program to hayden, and it worked for him.

Also, it's www.thecpl.com . The website is reliable...it's the biggest gaming competition event I know of.

            RE: Refresh Rates

My max is 60 at 1280x1024. I've already known that. I tried this program though anyways. It says 60 for that resolution. It says 75 for 1280x960. I tried that, but my monitor says Out of Range.

Crappy refresh rate for a flat screen monitor.

It would help on games though, at least for me. Most of my games don't run at resolutions that high, so this file helped for me.

I have my monitor's view stretched out just right, and the refresh rate when changed to a smaller shape only goes from like 75 to 80. Not worth the size difference.

Even though you can just adjust it?

                      I knew that program.
Mine is always 60Hz because I use LCD with DVI now.

                      1920x1440, 85Hz when I used CRT.
I think over 85Hz refresh rates don't be needed.

Like I said, it mostly helps for lower resolution games which might be running on lower hertz, like my stepmania for instance, it's on 640x480, and without overriding the rates it's at 60, but with this tool it brings it up to 120.

Yeah, it helps a lot for the flicker and smoothness of low resolutions.

Just wanted to say excessive high refresh rate make the graphic quality bad because of the noise.

85hz on SM makes the scroll go so much slooooower... I can easily read at 750 now... XD

60 Hz at 1280x1024, and like Bandit, it's maxed out.
