    Computer Problems

I know many people know about the almighty "Golden Retriever Cash Back" thing. This retarded thing just won't get off my computer. I have googled it and found information with a person whom had the same problem. He had a different type I believe*edit* I mean he had a different solution that didnt work for me. I have run adaware and spybot s&d both found nothing.

There is one thing, which I think is a virus that comes back if I delete it, it is "yviuyg.exe". It keeps moving on the task manager so I cannot click on it to end the process. Back to the Golden Retriever. It bullshits you by saying "You are now uninstalling Cash Back from ShopAtHomeSelect.com. If you would like to keep this, enter the code in the box above." Tricky eh? Pisses me the fuck off everytime I read it. One time I did enter the code and it said "Uninstall complete on next boot" or somthing, and sure enough I reboot and its still there. So I concluded there that doing that would only strengthen it.

Anything to get rid of one or the other? (Golden Retriever Cash back/yviuyg.exe)

    RE: Computer Problems

Get either Hijack this or Killbox (google it). Both will destroy the program...but use both wisely...if you accendently get rid of the wrong thing, reformat time.

Then try Killbox. It will delete it...most likely.

maybe do a windows search of yviuyg.exe. I think the one you are trying to delete is a duplicate, the the original keeps bringing that duplicate back, so there might be more than one copy. If you delete the main one, it might go away.
Also, I like to delete my /Windows/Temp/ folder occasionally so get rid of any misc programs my browser mightve downloaded without me knowing.

              RE: Computer Problems

How about try these in this order:
              Defrag
              Spybot
              AdAware
              ScanDisk
and then try doing what everyone else said. It'll probably get rid of alot of the things that the original yviuyg.exe is working with. Or you could simply refrag, something I've been wanting to do for a long time so I can get that damn WeatherBug off my computer...
              damn weatherbug...

Y'know, that Anti-Spy on the Yahoo! Toolbar works REALLY well to get rid of a lot of spyware crap... and I mean a lot. Their latest version, 1.11, got rid of viewpoint on my comp, which I gave up on a short time before they included the definitions to remove it. The downside is, you need to use IE to get rid of it... but that shouldn't be a problem, because that's most likely how you got spyware in the first place.

...and yes, I believe Anti-Spy gets rid of weatherbug, too.

                I <3 Anti-Spy.

EDIT: Oh yeah, like Nerosuferoth said, you should delete your temp folder from time to time. A LOT of spyware nestles in there. There is an easier way to find it, too. Just open the run command, and type %temp%. It'll immediately open the temp folder, there from which you can delete everything. Trust me, there is never anything vital in there, unless you deliberately put it there.

PROUD OWNER OF TWO OMEGA FAVORS. YEAH, NICE TRY.

Or, If you do all of that, then just format you hdd. Ubless you have something important installed, which you could just burn to a cd. Last resort probably, that's what I did.
