Need help getting AIM

I need help getting AIM. I push the little Aim logo, then press setup, and then i select "I don't have a screen name. I want to register a new one" and push next. And "O-pa!" Nothing happens, even if I wait for ten minutes.

Anyone else having this?

You need to register it on aim.com.

Sorry, It's just that I use netscape and i thought it would work all fine and dandy by clicking the little "AIM" Icon up top.

I use gaim.
