    Been in band for 6 or 7 years. In fact I'm playing with my pep band in 15 minutes :O.

        I do band...and I plan to make music education or music performance my career. I've made All-South Jersey and All-State on trumpet...ASJ on french horn, and plan to make state on it in january.


        And then next year there's All-Eastern. Oof.

                Last year at my music recital, I was a percussionist in one song. Whenever someone needed the rest of the class for their song, we all got up and played with them, but as we had 3 guitarists we kind of had to share the guitar around a little. For a few of these songs, I played the triangle. Triangles have an awesome ring to them.

                            I played trumpet for about 5 years, then I quit. I can also play piano and the drums. I played the saxophone and guitar for a year. Right now I just play around on the piano/acoustic sometimes and I sing a lot.

                                You obviously didn't read through my entire post. At no stage in that post I mentioned that I played the triangle IN A BAND. Look back, you will see that I am a guitarist, and that I was in a band for a year before we weren't allowed to play anymore at school after breaking a teachers drum sticks.

                                I think someone is just trying to let everyone know he is a big boy in a big band. Well done.

                                                I used to be first chair alto sax, till 8th grade. Then I went into HS and there wasn't enough room in my schedule, so I quit.

                                                    Um, I think so. It was a year 10 music recital, a night when a group of 16 year olds who chose music as a second semester elective in year 10 get up on stage to play 20 minutes of music, and that is our final year practical examination. I never considered my MUSIC CLASS as being a band, and this was the music class in which I was simply playing with. And I shall repeat myself again, we had three guitarists and therefore needed to rotate around abit. And when not playing the guitar, I was either on the bass, or, for two or three of the songs in which it was needed, the triangle.
