Will the pop n music games from play-asia.com work on an american PS2? and if not, do i need some kind of plug-in to play them?

Your only options are modding you PS2 (which I dont recommend unless have a good understanding of technology) or importing a new one from Japan, but that can get expensive.Comment

Depends, see if Play-Asia sells PAL games or NTSC. If your PS2 is American, you will need to buy PAL games (I'm pretty sure....90%), everything (again, pretty sure but not positive) BUT American PS2's play NTSC games.
Just see if it specifies whether it is NTSC or PAL. Only option if it is NTSC is to buy a mod chip or swap disc.
