    Math

I love it. My most favorite subject ever. There is just something about math that I love. I love learning more about it. Like, we just found out how to tak the square root on a negetive, and we are going to learn to square root a square root.

It is just fun learning how to manipulate numbers. Solving massive equations that look impossible. And what makes math even better is that it's easy. Well, for me, atleast.

The whole point of this topic is to discuss math. I wasn't sure if I should put it in the Critical Thinking board since it didn't have any hard question or anything.

Math is awesome. From graphing in the imaginary plane to using Laplace Transforms to turn first order differential equations into easily solvable algebraic polynomials, it's all amazing to me. Hence my math major, I guess.

Even though I'm still in High School, I am seriously, seriously considering making my math my major.

And even though most of what you said makes almost no sense to me, I love learing about it, so it does make sense.

      I <3 Math.

I used to like math until I had it first thing every morning for the past 5 years. I like it when I can program stuff into my calculator to solve it right away (That's how I ACED my geometry final), or when I find shortcuts that cuts away a lot of time from the problem.

Oh gawd I really dont like Math. I used to, then I moved into Geometry and realized how much match could really get on my nerves.
My friend came up to me and said, \"You know what I like, Mashed Potatoes.\"

And I was like \"Woah man, you didn\'t give me time to guess.\"

I hate it when you get bad Math professors that can't teach and do not allow calculators.

I've basically failed Calculus while understanding every concept fully.

PS - My major is Math-related... They consider Computer Science a Math course.

I really don't mind the "don't allow calculators" types, but the bad professors can really dick over an otherwise fun class. My Linear Algebra professor is about a hundred sixty years old, and he almost ruined my beloved matrices for me. On the other hand, I had great Cal II and DiffEQ professors and I learned and loved a whole lot.

That reminds me of the Beavis and Butthead quote:
Butthead: "I'm like angry at numbers."
Beavis: "Yeah, there's like, too many of them."

Cool. I know a lot of people who went/go to TAMS. Most of them are older, though.

Math = absolutely thoretical and ideal world, so I like it too..
and it also helps a lot for understanding the natural science.

Although I'm not really big on DE.

Maybe I'll simply teach Calculus when I'm done with school.
I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.

I reeeeeeeally want to learn more about imaginary numbers. The short description of graphing in the real/imaginary plane was just too sweet.
