Ummm.... if you hate your teacher for something like that you're no where near ready for highschool.

How about failing you because she told you it had to be in pen THE DAY IT WAS DUE. Or screming at us that it should be common knowledge that paragraphs are a minimum of 8 sentances, called us all retards, and flunked half the class for writing a normal 5 sentance paragraph . Oh, how about the time when she put up a list of vocab up on the overhead, refused to explain what we were supposed to do with it, then flunked people for not putting pronunciations or not adding a bibliography for the dictionary =/. This is an honors class btw... I wouldn't be suprised if we knew more then she did, I hate her .

She's also kicking anyone who gets a B or lower out of the class the first grading period which is in like a week.

Your teacher obviously knows very little about good writing. Any good writing will disobey all the rules. And that includes putting conjunctions at the beginning of sentences (although that wasn't a very good example, but it's all good). I've even seen famous books use run-ons as a style to give a character personality.

That's why I love AP English, because you write however you feel, and you can put your own style into it.

As for Ben's original point of this thread: you shouldn't cheat. Besides, anything we say as our hero won't match what you may say. My hero would be like, my mom, because she's always there for me and listens even when I rant about stupid crap that she doesn't really care about. She remembers like, everything I tell her, and is always giving me advice. Your mom might be a complete bitch, though, so you might not wanna write that. Seriously dude, do your own homework.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

I like your teacher already, its about time we get some teachers like this in the education system. You should have known all that stuff since you are an honors student. Completed work is always in pen or typed. MLA standard is 8 sentences per body paragraph: Topic sentence, concrete detail, commentary, commentary, concrete detail, commentary, commentary, concluding sentence. And as an honors student you are expected to go above and beyond when doing assignments so, yeah, you should have added pronunciation and a bibliography. Do me a favor and go buy an apple and give it to your teacher with my name on it. Kudos to her.

What you fail to realize is that she's failing them for things they didn't know. For some, maybe it's their first honors class, or at least their first class where they'd be required to know/do things in proper MLA form. She should have taught them these things first.

2ndly, in honors you learn to go above and beyond and follow all the rules, but in AP you learn that rules are for dipshits when writing. AP is pwn.

                        I don't think anybody reads.

Also, judging by Ben's intelligence, he could be much older than 12 and still be in 7th grade. :P

In my elementary (we ddin't have jr high. elementary went from kindergarden to 8th grade btw..) they teach you to NEVER use coordinate conjunctions at the beginning of the sentence, why? because they don't want to screw you over and confuse you. I"m sure everyone here remembers their third grade teacher saying "YOU CAN'T PUT AND AT THE BEGINNING OF A SENTENCE!". 8th and 9th grade is where this rule changes. :P On more thing, the whole '5 sentences per paragraph' statement is a little stupid, but it regular texts n shit, the smallest paragraph you'd see usually has somewhere around 5 sentences. :P

AAAANYWAYS. now that that's over with. I actually had a question... if you're in seventh grade that means you're either 11 or 12 :O
