Anyone else seen this anime? It is like a dead copy of Evangelion. I dont deny that it is good. I really like it, but everything reminds me of Evangelion (which might be why I like it).

It's not that the plot is similar, they are very different.

Evangelion: Angels ascend from the "heavens" to bring an end to humanity and it is up to 3 young children to pilot "Robotic Units" and defend the world.

RahXephon: A boy discovers that the world is at war with Tokyo (TokyoJupiter to be precise), his home town where he had lived his whole life, after it was taken over by Mu, some crazy space alien deal. It is now up to him to pilot the RahXephon against the D-1(Mu's weapon) and save humanity.

It just the way everything is setup. The really only other difference there is between the two besides the plot is the fact that in RahXephon the characters actually move.

If you are into the mecha sort of anime then I would recommend Vandread . Damn, that series was cool.

Oh yea i remember watching an episode at a friends house all post modern mechy (or mechie or whatnot) I can tell its good for what it is its just that Im kind of getting tired of mecha after watching 3 whole mecha seris just weeks apart. but Rahxephon is good for those who like asian robot battling action!

I saw a preview of it on my full metal panic dvd.
it looks really good.
Especially if it has a evangelion simliarity to it.
