Avatars

Does anyone else besides me recognize people only by their avatars/signatures? I mean, when I see Stewie (Family guy) I immediately think LD, or when I see the monster mask thing I think Eclipse. Then if someone doesn't HAVE an avatar, I assume they're n00b-ish :/

Yeah, I recognize people by their avatar, too...I don't necessarily think people are n00bish without one but meh...

Heh, I never look at someones name, unless they don't have an av or I don't recognize it.

Like, I knew it was flipai right away.

I do, too. The top of Kenzya's av looks like aperson's old av, so that gets me every once in a while. It's rare that I cut it off at the right spot to confuse myself, though.

Yeah, I usually look at signatures and avatars, moreso than names. And I do think noobish if they don't have an avatar, occasionally, like with fusi0n, even though he roxx0rzomg.

I'm all about the avatar. Certain forums without avatars or really tiny ones (1up, anyone?) drive me insane, since I can't tell who the hell is talking otherwise. That's one of the reasons I try not to switch very often, it annoys the hell out of me when people do (Bean, I"m talking to you).

Just because that cat is the epitome of awesome. Plus it gave me the room to define my username as it should be punctuated.

My signature may change depending on whether or not I get sick of that stats one I've got going on now.

Avatars are how I recognize people too
I think people with no avatars are lazy

I don't pay much attention to names unless I start to see it show up quit a bit.

I recognize people by their avs, but I only look at them specifically to find myself.

I was just too lazy to give myself an av until I found the perfect one (the one I'm using, obviously). I actually AM one of those people who masturbates to the thought of a new Maddox post. The fact that it's his drawing makes it even more awesome, too.

I remember when Arac...Michelle had a picture of me as her avatar...and that really confused me, because I would read the post and think, I dont ever remember typing that...and then I would remember that it was actually Michelle who typed it..I dont know...it was just confusing.

I also use the avs to ID people. It's kind of funny because sometimes when someone changes their av, I don't know it's them and I just assume it's some new user that went crazy posting. Then I found out it was really Qreepy...

Are you talking to me? Mine is always a bean with a 'fro, even if I do change it up a little.
