    Video Capturing Software

    Does anyone know of anything that can record your desktop into avi's or mpgs? Also the abliity either record sound or not.

    While we're on this subject :/ (Sorry clessy) I'm looking for something that can record sound from flash videos.. or something good that can record from the microphone..

        Kenzya: Get a sound card that has a tool called "record master". Then you can use any sound recording program and record any sound you want.

          I thought frontcam doesn't record mpg and wma and movie stuff.

            no.. front cam just sucks.. you get a whooping 30fps at max.. and everything looks so friggin choppy when you goto play what you have recorded.. Sound is horrendous(sp?), and its just horrible..

                I made a couple good halo stunt videos with the program "Fraps". Sound capture is great and the FPS is usually around 60, depending on how much stuff is being displayed, of course. It isn't free either... you can get a free version that lasts forever but you can only capture 30 seconds at a time, before pressing the video capture button. It also says Fraps.com at the top. =/ By the way... when recording stuff from a game or song or whatever, don't use your mic... it's annoying.
