I watched that again the other day, and yet again, without fail, the trippy psychodelik color part at the end confused the hell out of me. As did that giant black rectangle. Does anybody actually know what it means? Apparently Kubrick himself once was quoted as saying you need to be on Acid to truely understand it.

I just read a book by Arthur C. Clarke (I think he was co-writer, and he did all of the sequels). It was good.
