In FFR Chat earlier, we were talking about all these next gen consoles, and me and Lupin started to talk about our fond memories of oldskool games, mainly Sim Ant and the other orgylicious games from the early 90's.




If your disk is screwed up, or something, just go on ebay. There's like one full page of PC SimAnt for 99 cents/$1 buy-it-now (with 6 bucks shipping, but who cares? It's the coolest game EVER).

Sim City 2000 is the best Sim game I've played. Tower and Ant are good, too. Never played Sim City 3000 or 4, though.

Sim Ant is the only sim game where you win through combat. Thus it's naturally going to be insanely fun. I love digging for secret holes to the enemy nest.

I remember playing Sim Earth in black in white on my old ass computer way back when. I had no idea what the fuck I was doing at the time, so I just ended up playing with all of the buttons and trying to make the pictures look cool. Every so often I would make it to the point where dna would appear, but usually only if I was tenacious in my use of the various buttons.

I remember that game.. I had no idea what I was doing back then and I always died against the red ants. Maybe I'll give it a throw.

I loved SimTower though.. I created a gigantic empire and went down in a firey blaze. I loved getting the bomb threats.

I also had SimGolf and I built some sick course, but I never actually played it.. it was just fun to build the courses.

And SimCopter - that game was the ownage of them all. I mean, come on you could import SimCity 2000 cities! And with the Apache Helicopter, breaking up riots was a snap.

Jesus, how could I forget? Streets of Sim City! You could (like Sim copter, which was cool when you had the Apache) import SimCity 2000 maps into it and drive a car around. And mine stuff, and Shoot guns and missiles, and use the hopper, airfoil, shields...Ahh. Memories.

And Simtower, as I think I mentioned before, is really wiggin'. You can even see Santa in it At the right time of day/year.

the only one of those old ones i played was sim ant and i was like 3 when i played it so i remember it took me 3 or 4 days to figure out how to beat a level
u justgotta find the hole that goes to the red ant hill, also i never knew how to make my ants eat u had to go up to the queen or somethin but thats how i lost... by starvation
