Yeah, I'm curious as to where you heard that drowning was peaceful? It's supposed to be one of the worst ways to go, as you're fully self aware, and the pain of your lungs filling up with water.

I'd personally want to freeze to death, it's supposed to be very peaceful. As everything shuts down, (from what I've read) you slowly lose feeling, and right before the end, you feel really warm, and then you just go. But I suppose you can never be sure, since no one has ever frozen to death and lived to tell of the experience.

When you drown, you pass out before your lungs fill up with water....it is the passing out part that sucks...well, I guess not all the time...but Drowning is one of the most painful deaths...not for me I say.

If I had to choose a death...it would be doing something totally kick ass. Like fighting a bear to save a family...but if I fought a Bear...I would totally win.

Or I would be on a battleship...full of children on a field trip, and terrorists would try hi-jacking it, but I would totally surprise them with my awesome karate moves and save the day...maybe I could get shot in the final battle...and still save the day...but die from the wound later...but naw, that isnt my style.

I'll probably end up dying stupid though...like...electricuting myself with a McDonald's kids meal toy or something.

jewpin, you are my hero. I never even thought about fighting a bear with my bare (ha) hands. My friends and I have a joke about that, which is why I'm surprised I didn't rememeber to list that as an option.

Actually, that's not quite true. I watched an entire documentary about freezing people for preservation purposes. There was an account of this norse lady who got stuck in an avalanche, and when people found her, she was clinically dead, but they rushed her to a hospital and revived her. It's really all about how long the brain doesn't have nutrients. After a while it's gone beyond repair, but intense cold slows the dying process considerably. Russian scientists also killed a dog and then chilled his body for a couple of hours, then brought him back. It lived for a coupla weeks, then died of organ failure, though.

@jazz: Yeah, I thought about the flames getting put out if I jumped off a cliff, but I figured that my purpose would still be achieved if I weren't actually on fire the minute I slammed into the ground.

If i was going to die anyways, i would probably...

Fly to the point where i am just at the border of earths gravity, without getting caught in orbit, i would take about 20 pounds of nitro glycerine, put in in water ballons, freefall from that height onto microsofts production factory, with the ballons...
