Okay, I'm back to skeptical mode. Subliminal messages... etc... Microsoft does not hack small websites.

The site was only registered a month ago.

If you go on the halo 2 forums at bungie, there's a huge thread (well several) with large discussions over this, and if you read them for awhile, you see that some people keep asking where all the mods are. Apparently the mods are normally extremely active on the forums and if such a fuss was up, they'd normally be all over it. But they're not. They aren't saying a word, they're not even touching any of the threads on the topic.

Solution: The site was made by microsoft/bungie. The countdown is to August 24, when something "special" will happen. August 24 was also the release date of Windows 95. Not a co-incidence.

They put some work into this, but it's just an advertising ploy. Smart yet stupid move, Microsoft. Now I hate you more.

I can't believe you guys are being so dense. The only one I've seen in this topic with any sense is the robitussin-addict(har). Seriously, if you want to look at all those hidden messages they just clue you in on what happened between Halo book 1 and book 2 or something like that. Not that I've read the book, it's just what the guy with the most credibility and intelligence on the blog thing posted. And it makes sense, it seems fictional enough. Seriously, take a closer look at all this stuff. As for Dana and whoever else acting so shocked and startled etc., you know she'll be making big bucks in the future, whether she knew this would happen or not. So who really cares? She gets the bling AND attention on her site, while Microsoft and Bungie get their attention you've been giving them and probably intrigue some hardcore-fans to buying Halo 2 if they saw it.
And just for fun, I decided to register a new user and post a comment under the username of "asdfjklkljj" or something on Cortana and the latest entry of Dana's. They were pretty stupid comments, too
