Initially I wanted to blame the bipolar (or was it borderline personality?) disorder but I know plenty of people with similar disorders that manage not to be Nazis. Now, though, I feel like the whole Loss (of Kim) saga probably sent him into a strange sort of freefall where he had to turn to someone for support, and some very far right parties (like Daily Stormer tier and stuff like that) extended the offer of friendship, he accepted, and then consumed too much of their mantras and material to ever be accepted into proper society ever again, leading to points like (paraphrased) "actually, Hitler invented the microphone so I think we should be grateful" type points (just to be clear, Antonio Meucci made the earliest version of a microphone that wasn't meant to be a two way communication device). Granted, I think he had to have some room in his personal biases already to accommodate this line of thinking, and who knows where that started.

I'm not saying that any of these reasons excuse it at all, but it seems like the likeliest explanation I could arrive at to dissect what leads to an interview where Alex "Sandy Hook was Staged" Jones is the voice of reason.
