I'm riding that same wave of issue that you are. I decided to start playing again right as my work season began and now I hardly have time to play. Agricultural work isn't a job, it's a life. You don't get time for anything else lol.

Thanks for saying that. It's nice to know I was able to inspire some people to embrace the game.

The nostalgia present here has actually made me consider trying to get back into the game. I've heard of something called etterna - is that what most people are using now as opposed to the official stepmania build? Also, what's the preferred method for sharing scores & videos these days (outside of the good old brag board)? I see Thaor's going old fashioned with youtube, but I imagine DMCA concerns could potentially complicate this, or make something like twitch streaming basically impossible. Lastly, what are the main community hubs? FFR seems to be pretty inactive. Are people using discord now / some other site?

For YouTube the only issues I've faced so far are just copyright claims, no real strikes so far. I haven't faced any issues on Twitch that I know of yet.

Wow - I wasn't active in the community during this time, but I remember silently lurking the forums and seeing these videos on Youtube.

I don't think I'll ever fully "de-rust" in the future, but I do feel like FFR will always be nostalgic for me simply because I really did care for a pretty long period of time. Seeing stuff like this makes me feel like a lot of the people I knew in this community likely feel the same.

i was a bit late to the legend of thaor but watching his st. scarhand, FotS, and guillaume tell back in the day was and still is amazing to this day. very envious of his consistency and even now.

I don't think I'll ever fully "de-rust" in the future, but I do feel like FFR will always be nostalgic for me simply because I really did care for a pretty long period of time. Seeing stuff like this makes me feel like a lot of the people I knew in this community likely feel the same.

I've found it really easy to derust and get past my old peak because there's a lot more content out now that better trains different skilsets (like chordjack packs).
