If it feels weird it's only because everyone is use to Facebook now and it's quality of life changes, such as I don't have to refresh to see new replies and people actually use FB.

FFR is still very much running off steam collected in 2003 it feels, even though I know the forums have updated a time or two since

forums for me were my first taste at social interaction online, at the turn of the century these things were the coolest way of finding like minded groups to discuss interests. forums forever have a special place in my heart

they're just as good now as they were then, even if public interest made a shift to social medias these things are still great fun imo

I think most forums don't auto-update though...

But this is a pretty old vBulletin board, that's a fact.

iirc ffr forums wasn't always vbulletin, i'm pretty sure thats why a lot of the generic names have decades old join dates because the original forum didn't require registration to post

I think it was still using vBulletin back then too, but I certainly wasn't around 2002-2003

Do note that I believe there was a loss of some very old files in the database that this vBulletin uses.

I mean just back out of this thread in this subforum and then click on Last. You'll see a lot of threads with nothing in them.
