The announcer in DDR only exists so that players can't easily get clean audio of songs.

I have the complete opposite complaint about my local DDR. It's not super quiet, but for some reason they put it right beside that stupid piano game where you mash big keys so all you hear is really shitty version of chopsticks and people slamming keys while you try to play. I wish it was just a bitttttttt louder

one of the ddr a machines at my round 1 is at the mall's entrance to the arcade and is also next to the piu machines

(the other ddr a machine that we have for some reason is seperated by these piu machines)

When Endymion first came out the audio was full of annoying cheering and announcer interventions. Then for the next 6 months people tried slowly reconstructing the audio to remove parts based off of YouTube videos they found. Since late December last year, the fully clean audio is now available.

Must be nice xd. I wish they had the clean audio here in AUS, but yeah the machine I have at the arcade thingy is super old, they really need to replace it but idk how much it'd cost them.

Run an HDMI cable from a laptop to a TV and attach a dancepad
Maybe make a frame with 2x4s, jazz it up a little and you could have a sweet machine for dirt cheap and an amazing project.

One of the cool DDR twitch streamers from Pennsylvania, iambgs, has a top of the line steel built dual arcade machine and I think he said it ran him $1500.
