Quick question about copyright.

SO. Uploaded a youtube video of a dynamix chart then couple min. later I get a copyright notice.

Even though I didn't monetize the video do I file a dispute or what?

Even though the artist himself submitted the music to dynamix.

I have lots of copyrighted content on youtube, some have been there since last September. I would not see a reason to dispute.

Copyright is copyright whether you monetize the video or not

If you try to dispute it and fail you will get a strike on your channel I believe.

honestly you can just ignore it. all the copyright claim means is that they're claiming that they own content in the video. generally you dont need to do anything and you'll be fine. generally a copyright claim on videos with music just means that the claimant just wants to put ads on your video and earn money from it. there should be a detailed description of what the claimant wants to have happen and as long as your cool with it just ignore it.

generally its not a good idea to dispute a copyright claim unless they are claiming content that you own.

Just edit the description, and make a disclaimer. I.e., "*song* is owned by *Uptight Copyright Group Inc*"
