Local Murder-Suicide

I passed a crime scene on my way to work yesterday, and the details show how F'd up the world is today.

It appears a local woman set fire to her house with 6 of her kids inside and her husband, drove off with her 3 month old, and drove her car into a lake about 15 minutes away with the baby in the car. The husband was found dead in the house, but the kids escaped. The baby was found and rescued before the car fully submerged, was given CPR, and survived. The woman's body was found drowned on the floor of the lake, several hundred feet from the car. Now both parents are dead, and there are 7 homeless kids.

Damn.

When I drove past, they had already pulled the car out of the lake, but there were cop cars everywhere. I'm glad there was a quick response to save the baby.

I can't imagine being in the kid's situation.

sounds like the kids are better off

eh they had to experience their father dying, don't know if he was crazy too
if they get put into a good adoption program or if 1 or 2 of the kids are old enough to start providing, then they'll be good
