Re: Windows 10 and FFR Testing
I had W10 for not even a day and I went right back to W7.
I found flash 9 to run the smoothest, but accuracy was awkward. Flash 11 ran well too, but once again, awkward accuracy. Went right back to W7 and my usual stuff is an orgasm compared to what I experienced in W10.Comment

Re: Windows 10 and FFR Testing
In my experience so far, FFR runs better in-browser (Edge, Chrome, and Firefox) on W10 than it did with any of the standalones on W8.
Only thing to watch out for (that I have noticed) is that on W10 I had to decrease FFR's fps to 60. Anything over that and I experience very jarring lag.
Edit: Forgot to mention that judge offsets might be pretty volatile in W10. Example: I had to use +0.45 on Electric Butterfly and then -0.7 immediately afterwards on Doppelganger.Last edited by tosh; 08-8-2015, 11:01 AM.

Re: Windows 10 and FFR Testing
Well, I just upgraded to Windows 10 to try it out for myself. I couldn't get to run FFR smoothly. All versions of Flash had a microstutter in them which was unplayable. I'd rather have the occasional FPS drop that I had in Windows 7. Also, for some reason, the game was 'zoomed in', which made everything look very pixely, even when I resized the window to normal size again.
Reverting back to Windows 7 right now.Comment

Re: Windows 10 and FFR Testing
well i got windows 10 on my laptop
edge lags like fuck just browsing the forums so i'm using chrome if i keep this
ffr's running really smoothly with the standalone link in chrome (also what i used on w8, which also worked hella smoothly for a while) but now the frame quantizing is 10 times more noticeable and makes me not want to play itLast edited by lurker; 08-12-2015, 09:20 AM.some feathery f**k

Re: Windows 10 and FFR Testing
I have 10 now. Since 8 microstuttered all of the time, I expect this to be even worse. Yay!

Re: Windows 10 and FFR Testing
I tried using edge once, I just ended up cutting myself. I think they went with the new name based on the fact they've been trying to make a decent web browser for how many years now, and as close as they get, they always hold back before the big release.well i got windows 10 on my laptop

In all seriousness, 10 shouldn't be too different from your experiences on 8, look into some of the things they added. The whole Xbox DVR forcing Vsync can go right back into the recycling bin. I had stepmania go from 500+ FPS smooth to 120 with drops to as low as 80 with the DVR enabled. Not even up to the 144hz of my monitor. Not that it was super noticeable aside from some stuttering issues, but it was fixable.Comment
