    If nothing else...

STOP using apostrophes to pluralize words. You JUST have to put an "S" or an "ES" on the ending. That is IT.

    Examples for the simpletons:

"I like to drive car's because they are fun" = WRONG.
"My car's interior smells like happy" = CORRECT.

"PC's excel in the gaming industry, and other area's too." = WRONG 2x (+1 comma error).
"PCs excel in the gaming industry and other areas too." = CORRECT.

This is probably going to be locked but I'm just really sick of people using apostrophes to pluralize things. It is the wrong way to do things. You use apostrophes to show possession as I did in the car example. And for the best part it is essential that I quote Strong Bad.

OH if you want it to be possessive, it's just "i-t-s" but if it's supposed to be a contraction then it's "i-t-apostrophe-s". Scalawag.
"It's" and "its" are the two most commonly confused apostrophe-related errors in the world right now. Use the above quote to determine which to use when you want to. Or watch the e-mail here: http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail89.html

Actually, I think you put an apostrophe to pluralize acronyms. Perhaps it's to distinguish between a lowercase letter in an acronym and a plural s. This is one of the very few areas of grammar on which I'm not sure, but I'd like to find out...

I'm fairly sure that you do not, in fact, put apostrophes to pluralize acronyms.

      But what do I know?

Hehe, that song helped me a lot when I was revising my senior thesis. Gotta love mindless drabble put to good use.

Located on 200 acres near Canton, Kent State University at Stark is Kent State's largest regional campus and has been serving Stark County and the surrounding area for more than 70 years. As Stark County's only public university, Kent State Stark offers more than 25 bachelor’s, master’s, online and associate degrees in their entirety, as well as the opportunity to begin coursework in 282 undergraduate degree programs at Kent State University.

Towards the bottom there is a rule that agrees with me, and simply stresses consistency.

However, http://www.paulnoll.com/China/Teach/...h-plurals.html (bottom left corner) says they take the -s without an apostrophe.

Apparently, either way is generally acceptable, but I wish I knew an official place to find out for real...
