i wrote a script last night at work that would shutdown my computer after an hour had elapsed

well, some recent group policy changes caused my computer to hibernate after a certain amount of time. logged in this morning, only to have my script complete after 5 seconds, forcing a shutdown

Last week I gave a lecture for 600 freshman students. In the middle of my presentation, students suddenly got restless and I figured out why when I looked back at the projected slide which had disappeared. Powerpoint had shut down and other programs followed. We had to wait for 10 minutes until the Windows Updater had updated everything.

Still better than the previous year, when I was video-skyped by my mom when I was giving a lecture.

Oh, and this morning I was sleeping, which doesn't make for a great story.

Came to school only to find out I had to do orientation again while someone blasted reggae through their headphones next to me. Now I'm waiting to register for classes as a convict helping with renovations eyefucks me way too hard. :l

Woke up late, missed two classes.

And this afternoon, I deleted a folder containing... stuff... by mistake, and I don't remember having deleted it. Then I figure out that my backup disk is 1 month late. It should be automatic but apparently it's not and I don't know why (fucking Seagate). Plus, recovering a backup with their software is a pain in the ass. Anyway, really shitty day overall.
