A list of 5 million Gmail addresses and passwords appeared on a Russian Bitcoin forum Wednesday

If you use gmail, I highly recommend you change your gmail password and the passwords of any sites you log in to using your gmail (facebook and paypal come to mind). I also recommend using a password manager, such as KeePass, to, well, manage your passwords lol.

This site checks your account against the list to see if it was among the accounts that were leaked.

Well, not like I care. Sure I use gmail, but I have so many accounts for multiple things, and none of which containing any information that could potentially harm me. Yay me!

I don't have a gmail account that I use, but I probably will change the password on my school email since I log into it with gmail.

Did some research on this, it's blown out of proportion.
The '5m hack' looks like it was compiled from numerous sites over the years. Only ones truly affected are old, and unused gmail accounts with very simple passwords.

Pretty much only worry if you use the same password for literally everything. (But hey, changing your password often is smart and fun!)
