                                  I just finished watching episode 1; it was okay, but it was too uneventful for my taste. I enjoyed the humor in the show, though.

                                          The scenery almost never changed throughout the episode, and the conversations didn't really go anywhere IMO.

                                          It's also true that Animal Yokochou, (an anime I like a lot) almost never changes scenery and doesn't have a plot, but the humor and creativity make up for it.

                                              Ah, but you said you only watched one episode. Try several more and see if you say the same thing. The episodes really depend on each other for you to see a progression.
