You *HAVE* to tame them! which builds a relationship between the two of you. After that, you start bonding through different ways, whether it be from sitting around with each other, teaching them to talk (parakeets are my favs), nuzzling them,petting them, and teaching songs to them.

I've always had the most fun with birds. Nobody shows more love than a well trained parakeet or lovebird
