    Re: What

People want the privilege of strangers to accommodate to their problems so they can feel sympathy. This is more annoying that people complaining about reverse discrimination.

You should make a tumblr for transpokémon people. You can cry on the street whenever someone doubts that you are a Snivy and call them cis-scum.

            Re: What

Going to the topic of obesity, I can't see how someone can continue gaining weight after a certain point. When I was 175 pounds I felt disgusting; I'm somewhere in the 155-160 range now.

I have a problem with obesity mainly because from my own experience being overweight before, it feels terrible and unhealthy. It has nothing to do with expression. There are so many health problems related to obesity that I don't consider it acceptable to say others are being prejudiced when they say to lose weight.

I understand that obesity has a lot of health problems towards each individual, but I think it's very inconsiderate for a stranger to blatantly point out that someone should lose weight. There are many people who are addicted to food and have a lot of trouble not only losing weight initially, but maintaining the lost weight in the long run. For people who have been obese for years and feel like they need a certain amount of food every day, it seems kind of rude when someone who hasn't met this person tells him or her to lose weight because that person seems obese.

Dossar never really mentioned them being strangers. I might not even tell a stranger that his zipper is undone, but I'd consider telling my friend or relative that they are getting unhealthy obese. And as far as addictions go I think being addicted to eating food is probably the least excusable. Maybe gambling as well.

The better conclusion to draw than 'wow those are the actions of someone who isn't trying and are therefore inexcusable' when we see that gambling and food eating are very common addictions, is that food eating and gambling are likely highly excusable things.

But, since apparently the obvious isn't good enough...
There're numerous studies that show various endocrine disruptors coined as obesogens that are ubiquitous in our environment that are pretty much the reason so many people are fat. You simply cannot argue that when we give these compounds to rats in controlled studies, in appropriate quantities based on body mass that we're exposed to everyday and then see these rats eat themselves into obesity while the control rats don't, that people who overeat are merely gluttons.

Most forms of gambling, just like addictive drugs, are specifically designed to make someone keep coming back to play more. They're like, behaviour control 101. Just because they naturally use the brain's reward system (or if you'd rather, the system of control that capitalism has over all of us) without some sort of mechanical or biological trigger, doesn't mean that they're any less addictive. Gambling addictions to me are a sign about just how powerful our own urges in response to things that we want (like money) are. If you are not someone who has the propensity to ever become addicted to gambling or some other activity, then your brain is messed up and you're probably depressed.
