I just graduated yesterday. I brought my handheld poker with me. My class has 600+ people and the ceremony took over 2 hours, so I was glad I had it. This fall I'm going to the University of Michigan. And also VxDx is in my graduating class. He's going to Case Western. Watch out Cleveland!

I graduate next year, but I attended the ceremony for 04 since I have some friends in it. God is it going to blow, not the actual ceremony, but the fact that it will be above 90 degrees for majority of the time. We have to wear long pants, plus the robes over that and a hat.
But grad-night sounds kick ass...disneyland at night...awesome, cant wait.Comment

As we go on
We remember
All the times we've
Spent together
As our lives change
For forever
We will still be
Friends forever

Congrats to all who are graduating, although I graduated already. We only had about 300-350 graduates (not sure of the specific number after drop outs and kids who didn't pass). It wound up being held in the gym of our high school, so not everyone's families could attend. It was horrible.
This year the graduates aren't even graduating at OUR school, due to construction. They get to walk out of a local vo-tech. Half of them aren't walking because of it (including my sister, unfortunately).
My sudgestion, enjoy it. Yea, it's long, annoying, boring, and seemingly useless... but I know I miss half of the people I haven't seen since then.Comment

I am--I graduated in May (out of a class of 440). I plan to work during the rest of this summer (if at all possible), and then head off to Kansas State University as a Computer Science (and possibly Math) major.Originally posted by SpecforcesWho else is graduating class of 04'? Those that are Graduating, what are your plans after High School?
It started on the right for us. We didn't ever get any official announcement to turn it to the left because everyone decided to throw out beachballs and spray silly string before the ceremony was done. The principal had an interesting look on his face.Originally posted by KilgamayanAnd don't forget: the tassel stays on the left side of the hat until the ceremony is done, when you flip it to the right.
I had to play Pomp and Circumstance for the last senior circlejerk meeting/time of rememberance last year in the Orchestra. It kept going and going and going, and I hadn't slept at all, so I was dozing off. It sucked.Originally posted by OmeganitrosActually, I had to play the little graduation tune as part of the high school band at the graduation, it wasn't that long. We had programs, and we laughed at the funny names like "Joseph Crapper" and stuff. But I guess when you laugh at names, 3 hours can fly by fast.hooray bsd-tanComment

Graduation is tomorrow for me.
Graduations at Bonanza = SUCK.
1) We are forced to PURCHASE our cap and gowns. That means we get to have this one-time-only garment for the REST OF OUR LIVES, all so Josten's can make tons of extra money.
2) We are not allowed to throw our caps into the air after the ceremony ends. To get our real diploma, as we are not actually handed a diploma by our nazi principal, we have to show them the inside of our caps which *gasp* has our name in it, after the ceremony has concluded.
I honestly hated school and everything about it. I wish my parents hadn't ordered the cap and gown already. I don't give a rat's ass about traditions. I don't give a rat's ass about my graduating class. I don't give a rat's ass about doing this just for my parents to be happy.
Of course, I sort of just want to die lately... I don't think that's influencing my feelings, though, because I've felt that it was a waste of time and effort for years.SIG PICTURES:

Yeah, yeah. That's what it was called, Pomp and Circumstance. I couldn't remember it.
And yes it, does take forever, me and my friend would take turns playing it so we wouldnt tire out.
EDIT: Holy shit, Laharl. That sucks motherfucking balls. That is horrible. Seriously, that sucks. Damn.Comment

Rule #2: Hope someone famous graduated from your school.
Rochester, NH (I think) has Adam Sandler do the guest alumni speech every year because he graduated from there, so apparently it's much less boring for those kids.
You're in college, right? o_OOriginally posted by jewpinthethirdI graduate next year, but I attended the ceremony for 04 since I have some friends in it. But grad-night sounds kick ass...disneyland at night...awesome, cant wait.I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.Comment

True, Kilga. I went to my cousin's graduation from Harvard, and Conan 'O Brian did a speech. Afterward I had my picture taken with him. I treasure it so.Comment

I graduate next year.... from college.... *cries* I love college!!
My graduation seemed long, and our class had only 189 kids. My best friend brought 2 beach balls. He blew them up near the end of the ceremony and then tossed them up at the end. It was pretty cool.
What's your class ranking, Spec?Comment

I just graduated a couple of weeks ago. There were about 1158 (no joke) students in our class.
Next year, I'm going to study anthropology at Texas A&M (main campus).
To everyone else out there, best of luck! ^_^The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.Comment
