Jan. 3 (UPI) -- James Avery, best known for playing Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, died New Year's Eve of complications following heart surgery. He was 65.

Feels like I was just watching Fresh Prince yesterday. His acting definitely made Uncle Phil a prominent character on the show. Kinda surprising. I feel old now and I'm not even old enough to barely be considered a 90s kid.
