Wow, I'm so sorry. Trav and I go way back.. I don't even know what to say.
I remember in my first year, right before my intership interview, I was on my phone AIM. It was like 5:30AM, I was in a cafe completely stressing out about the interview. I messaged trav because we didn't talk in years and he told me he was married!!
I couldn't believe it that he was married! I was in college and he is only a year older than I was, it made me feel old and blew my mind. He gave me some last minute interview tips. I asked for his address because I wanted to mail him something over as a gift, but he declined.
He was telling me that he was stressed out about finishing pre-med and going into medical school. He also told me he was going to sign up for the military as a doctor. To see so much talent go to waste, I can't even imagine.
We didn't really talk much after, as I was quitting the whole TWG/FFR scene. We did talk on occasion over the years.
My last interaction with him was him messaging me about making a website together with him. He messaged me the details on AIM, and I told him I will be able to handle all of the coding for him. I thought it was a good idea, and I was in need of practice developing code for fun.
www.catchphrase.me if anyone is interested. It is just a proof of concept website where users can "quote search" google and claim the phrase for their own account if it is a unique query.
The website is live, but pretty much abandoned because he never got back to me with how to proceed. I never worked on it, but it is still live.
Actually, you guys probably know me as a scatterbrain, and right now, I'm having a very hard time trying to come up with a post. I think I need to really calm down before trying this post again.
