Taking a one week "break"

I want to be devoid of all this crap for a week. LD and Spec can handle the forums fine, if anything they'll know what it was like for my first week but yeah.

If you want to treat me like a normal user then now's your chance. I'll have all the stuff back by next Friday but I think it'd be best for a lot of people (and debates on how I'm doing my job) to just quit it for a week. I won't be using my powers during this period.

Everything should go back to normal at around the time this was posted 1 week from now. My site admin thing was removed as I post this so I'll hope it'll be back by then.

This is NOT a request to get flamed or a reason to flame the shit out of every living being on the forum.

would have been more interesting if u didnt announce it. then, after a week, u could say that u were gone and nobody noticed, which would prove that u arent as bad as alot of people say u are. or, it may have done just the opposite, which is what makes it interesting

Omg, you people are fools. You have no idea what it's like to have to listen to annoying idiots who just keep asking you the same shit over and over, even after you've kindly explained it to them three times. It's hard being a mod/admin, and all I hear is people going "omg I wanna be a mod/admin" cuz they think its all fun and games. Just so you know: BEING A MOD/ADMIN IS NOT ALL FUN AND GAMES. ITS A JOB, AND SOMETIMES A HARD ONE. I think it takes a lot of patience to be a leader here, and I congradulate synth for making such good choices for all the administration/staff of this place. He could've just let the place get overrun by morons, and no one would like it, but he's decided that he wants his members to be happy, and get the best experience possible, and I think he's done an excellent job of that.

As for Arch, I COULD say he gets a little um.... weary? at times, but being in a position of power myself, I totally understand where he's coming from.
I'm only a chat mod, and even being that I get aggrivated. People constantly hassling me to kick others, bad mouthing my decisions when I do kick someone, and just direspecting me in general, its not all fun and games. I say I know how it is, but I'm sure Arch would say I don't. I'm sure Arch has to deal with 5x the pressure that I do. He hardly gets a chance to relax and talk to his friends on here, having to be constantly pestered, or busy with some issue of this site. I think he totally deserves to take some time off, and enjoy himself for awhile. He doesn't need to hear about it from you assholes claiming he's a bad admin. He's trying to relax for a bit, and muster up the strength to come back and handle daily FFR life again.

So all in all, until you're in a position of power, where you're constantly being hounded about issues, you have no right to tell Arch what kind of job he's doing, or any mod/admin for that matter. We all work hard around here to keep the site up and members pleased, and should be recognized for that, and not our little faults that come with the pressures of these jobs.

But still, Jam, I don't think you understand how frustrating it gets when you're in a position like that. It's just constant complaints from people, and sometimes, it seems like you're getting no rewards from it. And that's hard.

when I read the title I instantly jumped back to the time at the begining of this year that I just became fed up with school, homework, and the incoherent morons that go here that I just couldn't continue to do my work. I seriously just stopped doing all homework for a week. luckily I brought my grade up.. and thank god today is the last day of school.

Makese sense, I don't blame him, but a question: Even if he's not going to be 'working' for a week, why take away his powers as an admin? And then give them back to him later? It seems a bit...pointless >__<
