id rather have our crack head mayor stay mayor than some other dude try to fuck it all up. Crime rates are as low as theyve ever been in years and public development projects are always ongoing.

Except for the ones that we all wanted to get done that he opposed for literally no good reason because he didn't even understand what was being proposed.

I guess if you want someone who has gone on record saying people who smoke crack should be killed getting to smoke crack and stay mayor, you're all set.

I guess if you want someone who has gone on record saying that a cyclist who gets hit and killed by a car "deserves" what they got, you're all set.

And if you're so concerned about low crime rates, supporting a mayor who is ADDING TO THE CRIME RATE seems a little misguided. If you want a tough on crime mayor, picking one who drives drunk, buys and uses illegal drugs, and assaults old ladies during city council meetings seems like a pretty bad plan.

Well, a world where breaking the law gets you stripped of office but "being a dick" doesn't is pretty much the best world we can hope for given the circumstances.

The fact that breaking the law ISN'T even going to get him stripped of office is where the real problem is. Guy admitted to buying and using illegal drugs while in office, admitted to drinking and driving, is on tape threatening to kill people, shoved an old lady in city council and STILL has a 42% approval rating is the thing that should concern everybody.

No, the rural section of the city that surrounds down-town is full of the mostly smug, mostly rich, mostly white people who got him elected in the first place, and they'll support him even if he murdered a dude, as long as the dude he murdered didn't drive an SUV or underpay a Filipino nanny to care for his children.
