well, here's some food for thought

the breast cancer research & the pink ribbon donations have been going on for quite a long time now..

it's fueled by slacktivism, and the breast cancer research foundation holds the 'rights' to the pink ribbon imagery - so the breast cancer research foundation lead by susan komen actually spends a lot of its donations & fundings on suing other foundations that attempt to raise money for breast cancer research through the 'pink ribbon' imagery

it's no surprise that more than $6 billion goes into breast cancer research yearly in the united states, but prevention rates haven't grown even with increased funding

money is easy to make from slacktivists
