Scientists detect triple quasar, second ever

Astronomers discovered an extremely rare triple quasar system - only the second such object ever found.

I'm confused as to what makes this a tripple quasar if the third is so far away and wasn't part of the other 2 when they formed.

                  but are there quadruple quasars?

Probably that they're still close enough to be gravitationally bound

Take depth into account aswell, the two closer ones could just be deeper.
