    Petition: Shut Down the Judge Rotenberg Center!

    I'm under the impression that there's a number of people on the spectrum in this community, so I'll just leave this here.

    Without going into too much detail, this woman communicates the hell she lived through of being forced to wear shock devices that got triggered for the smallest of things. This stuff isn't for the faint of heart to read, but if you're in the Canton, MA area, know that what you'll feel reading it is NOTHING compared to what this woman somehow managed to endure. We all owe her and the other patients at least that much.

      How is shocking people still used as behavioral "treatment" in this day and age? Or that board thing, that's just medieval.

                                  What a revolting story, poor guys . The people who plan and carry out this treatment need to be rocketed into the sun. Or get some 'electro shock therapy' on the ole electric chair.

                                                  Having a special needs brother causes this to hit home a bit more on my end. I couldn't imagine his special needs school treating him like that just because he was unable to be vocal and/or respond to a requested task. Seeing some of the students at my brothers school just makes me wonder the sanity and mind of someone to approve and frequently use such a malicious (for lack of a better word) device. It's absolutely sickening. I lose faith in humanity when I see people that are so heartless.
