    TV died

Sooo my plasma screen (Panasonic Viera) just decided to randomly die in the middle of a show. No reaction to the remote, hard button, won't turn on, etc. Everything was plugged in OK. Peripherals (PS3, Wii, cablebox, router, blablabla) around the TV stand are all working fine.

Anyone ever encountered anything like this / how did you fix it? I'm hoping a capacitor didn't blow or something because fuck

I had the exact same problem and thought it was a capacitor too.
Turned out to be a blown fuse - you can check inside the TV to see if that's the case.
If it really is a blown capacitor, try soldering on a new one lol

Edit: Worst case scenario is that the boards are fried.

Plasma TVs are better than they use to be and I doubt rubix has an old one.

Get a Vizio LED HDTV. I got a Vizio LCD HDTV before realizing that a LCD would have been better.

There could be an open in the circuit, which just requires some soldering.
