Just spent 8 hours working on a 40 point project then realized I have a 300 point art project due tomorrow that I haven't started.. welp.

That's what you get for taking an art class.
Everyone else... learn from this.
But really, I have 4 between now and Monday and have done nothing to prepare thus far. I should be fine though.Comment

Re: Official Complain About Finals Thread ~Fall 2012~
Math projects for three nearly graduate-leveled math classes. Nearly finished my algebra and probability theory classes but am screwed for dynamical systems ): Really behind in material for all three classes. Graduate school applications (writing my personal statement), study-abroad paperwork and tasks to complete, and much more.
Probably the worst semester in terms of amount and level of coursework.Comment

Re: Official Complain About Finals Thread ~Fall 2012~
December 10: 9-12, Combinatorics/Graph Theory, 40% (this has the potential to be incredibly difficult)
December 10: 2-5, Complex Analysis I, 60% (need to crush this final if I want a 90 ugh)
December 12: 2-5, Numerical Analysis I, 50% (won't need to study for this woo)
December 13: 9-12, Introductory Mathematical Analysis, 50% (not sure how I'm going to feel about this one until I get the test and immediately forget everything)
December 18: 2-5, Differential Equations II (currently destroying this class and if I don't end with at least a 97 I'm going to be upset wah wah poor me)

Basically art projects and final projects and essays and shit are for suckas.Comment

Re: Official Complain About Finals Thread ~Fall 2012~
Don't have to worry about finals this semester.
I've already mathematically failed my Gen Chem I. Stumbled in late to an exam after missing one due to a mixup over when Daylight Savings ended.Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR

Re: Official Complain About Finals Thread ~Fall 2012~
Dec 5th - Calc III 50% or 100% (If I do better on my exam than my overall mark with assignments and midterms).
Dec 7th - Programming 50%.
Dec 12th - Linear Algebra II 55% or 100% (If I do better on my exam than my overall mark with assignments and midterms).
Dec 15th - Probability 50%.
Dec 19th - Financial Math. 60% or 100% (If I do better on my exam than my overall mark with midterms).
Only exam I'm scared for is Linear Algebra, they're all 3 hour exams.

Re: Official Complain About Finals Thread ~Fall 2012~
I only have one project due this week on Saturday for my Friday class. I have to make something in Maya with 5 different types of dynamic simulations in one scene.
Have yet to even start it, dohohoho...
For my other classes, everything is due the following week next Tuesday.

Re: Official Complain About Finals Thread ~Fall 2012~
Online university studies here (and fuck, it gets exhausting).
My final project for College Composition I is 35% of my grade and I recently beasted my research paper which is a part of that project. I'm currently sitting with a high A, and should easily finish with a high A.
There's my Visual Basic programming class, which is also 20%... but it's an exam, and not a project. I have a high A in this class as well, but I'm really concerned with how I'm going to do on that final test. I'm definitely going to be doing some studying to make sure that I'm familiar with all of the types of variable declarations, switches (or booleans, whatever you prefer), loops, UI-related things (menus/dialog boxes/toolstrips/etc) and creation of multiple forms/classes. I don't know what I need mathematically in this class to get above a 93% (and hold my 4.0), because I still have a few more assignments until finals. Everything is due at the beginning of January, if I recall correctly.
Then there's Software Applications, which is a joke of a class and I can ace everything in my sleep, lmfao.Comment

Re: Official Complain About Finals Thread ~Fall 2012~
December 12th: 8-11 Probability & Statistics - The Normal Law 25%
December 12th: 2-5 Programming VB.Net - Multitier architecture 40% - Assignments(35%) don't count if grade is under 50%.
Math in this case is a joke, they give you formula and all you need to do is to identify variables/conditions and pick the right formula. I could probably explain to someone in 15min how to ace it and I failed weak maths in high school. Makes no sense imo, but whatever, not going to complain for something being too easy.
Programming is an impossible scenario because it's a final on paper, no notes, you must write a program in 3 hours and I hope you have good memory for dumb stuff 'cause points goes down pretty fast even if the logic is good. Considering I failed the other major exam that needed memorization, I'm probably not even going to bother attending and go do something else with my life like doing the exact same class with a different teacher and acing it because the evaluation system is different from teacher to teacher. /facepalm (already happened twice in the past)
Still mad for wasting years over dumb system. At least education doesn't cost much here.. (at same time I know why). I can work while doing this and I don't mind having more time to get more familiar with programming in general but err.. I don't want to be 30yr old when I graduate..Last edited by Hakulyte; 12-4-2012, 11:12 AM.
