    Hair help

    Bleaching dyed black hair.
I have my hair dyed black I take care of it and condition it a lot however I'm wanting to go back to a blonde. Asked the girl at Sally's beauty supply she referred me to l'oreals quick blue bleach. However I heard that you don't want to use bleach :/. I assume she knows what she's talking about but I'm just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this.

      Re: Hair help

Use dandruff shampoo mixed with some baking soda. It might not be pleasant, but it'll work.

            Re: Hair help

what the. okay just saying, do not bleach your hair. when did you dye it black ??

it's going to be really hard to bleach it if you dyed it black recently, i know from experience. your hair will be ridiculously damaged, and double fold if you use heat to style it like a flat iron. just go for a lighter color rather than totally blonde or wait awhile for the dye to chill out.

if you insist on going back blonde then buy the powder bleach and a strong developer, like 40 so it doesn't have to stay on your head for as long. wrap it up in a towel and check it till its the color you want. and buy a toner so when you're done itll take any remnants out of the black like an orange or blue tint and make it look natural again

since you are naturally blonde i'm assuming maybe your hair will respond well and not get too damaged, but I know mine doesn't do well with bleach LOL

@Syhto haha no if you notice my eyebrows I have naturally dark brown/black hair. I did buy the bleach powder and I used it. However I didn't keep it in too long with my roots being bleached I ended up with an interesting almost calico effect which I kind of like. It's a lightish brown now. I was going to bleach it again but when it dried I decided I liked it. I can always rebleach again later BUT for now I'll let it chill the way it is as soon as I get the green dye out. I'll maybe post a pic later for now it's soaking in conditioner

P.S. I dyed it black like 3 months ago so I figured it had been long(ish) enough

Why do you care? This just makes you come off looking like a jerk.

Actually I've found out the FFr community knows way too much. I come here for advice most of the time when I'm trying to figure something out. It's bad when I have a shit ton of extra knowledge just because of this site.

                          Sorry for off topic

ok so my hair advice would be to stop straightening her hair because she will scorch it over the years. it will thin out

                            so

do something about it otherwise in 2-3 years youll be like omg adlp from that one hair topic i made was right

Actually I look like a "normal" person 90% of the time most of the pictures I take ARE however when I "dress up" I've worked in a family resturaunt and grocery stores and such I applied to Hot Topic and decided it wasn't for me. Most of the "crazy" shit I've done with my hair is only extensions. And the recent green dye was semi permanant and because I wanted to do it at least once. Here's how I normally look

Yep I'm a plain Jane I do the "scene thing" because I like having fun with my appearance every once in a while so shoot me.
Oh and I condition my hair a sh*t ton + the leave in conditioner and use a heat protection spray/ use the lowest heat setting needed whenever I DO straighten my hair which is maybe once a week.

No I googled things HOWEVER I wanted to see if people knew of any other trick and I'd rather hear from people with personal experiance with things. I like to cover all my bases because I do in fact care a lot about my hair and not damaging it.
